Tv Trailer Update, FOX Fall '08

More and more news filters through by the day of new and returning shows premiering this autumn, and now theres video.

First off is a look at 24 - Exile, the standalone prequel movie that bridges the gap between the largely god awful sixth season and the writers strike delayed seventh.

Turns out JB's been looking after the children of a fictional african country with the help of Begbie from trainspotting/Hamish Macbeth, Who Knew.

Also worth a look, although I havent previewed it with sound. Is the following, a prview of the 4th season of Prison Break. Always good without threatening to be amazing, Prison Break can be very, very watchable. Something tell's me the writing will have to be top notch for the fourth season not to seem dated and quite forced. I will happily be proved wrong though. Enjoy.

Arturo Lupoli, You have the potential to be a hero.

Now forgive me for recently turning this blog into a stream of yellow drivel but i believe the pieces of the Glenn Roeder jigsaw may be coming together at city.

Signed tonight on a year's loan was former Arsenal and Derby striker Arturo Lupoli,

..I cant help thinking the boy's a bit special.

Our loan signings have a track record of getting injured, but I think he could turn out to be just the kind of player we need.

Why America Doesn't Embrace Soccer, Answered With One Video.

For years people have wondered why America hasn't fallen in love with the beautiful game in the same way the rest of the world has. For me it's because of the uninterupted action and the lack of snacking oppurtunities, at least that's what i thought until last night.

If i was American i would find it very hard to embrace a sport covered in the media by such an absolute cretin as KRON's Gary Radnich.

One of my footballing heroes, the city legend Darren Huckerby has moved to MLS to play for the San Jose Earthquakes. Attached below is his meet the media interview, it is one of the worst researched and worst prepared pieces of media I have ever seen.

It makes me feel bad for endlessly slagging off motson and lawrenson, and I never thought i would feel bad about that.

I hope Hucks makes a real impact in MLS, he deserves to. But if things dont go his way he's always welcome back in Nor-fork, Nolfork, North East England, Norwich.

The Follow Up, Mrs Smith

The Delia Video

There is a lot to talk about here, but one question is more obvious than others.

Why Delia Smith was (Billionaire Local Fan) Peter Cullum's offer not in the best interests of Norwich City Football Club?

Remember your role in this Mrs Smith, football fans never forget.

Firstly the well organised quotes of carrowroad.net have inspired this post, but I'm sure they won't disagree with me posting.

In January 2007, majority shareholder of Norwich City Football Club Delia Smith was quizzed by reporters about the prospect of new investment into the club. She had the following to say on the matter.

"The only way we would relinquish our shares is if somebody is going to put money into the football....Only if they put money into the squad - not if they buy our shares, we don't want money. It has to be that there is money for the squad, serious money for the squad."

Why then Mrs Smith, are the devoted passionate fans of Norwich City Football Club left scratching their heads to work out why negotiations with ideal new investor, namely Peter Cullum the insurance tycoon estimated to be worth in the region of £1.7bn have been "terminated with immediate effect".

I could run through quotes from this saga until this blog ran to the end of the page, the simple fact is Peter Cullum wanted to put £20m into Glenn Roeder's transfer kitty in exchange for controlling interest in the club. This may be seen as buying the club on the cheap, but it is at the same time exactly what Delia asked for. She has spoken in the past how she doesn't expect or want to earn money from the club, this has now been clearly revealed to be a lie. Brand Delia has increased dramatically through catering opportunities out of Carrow Road whilst the quality of football on the pitch has decreased steadily.

How you work out a deal right now is irrelevant, the facts are there. Cullum has the money and the intent to take the club on way beyond Delia's capabilities, therefore as a fan and as a businesswomen she should see this as the right time to call it a day.

Some clubs would happily be taken over by anyone with a sizable wedge, arms dealers, F1 magnates, Oil Tycoons. Norwich have the chance to be taken over and run by an incredibly wealthy, driven and passionate fan of the club.

That chance will only come around once.

Here comes the Payne!

As sure as night follows day, film derived from computer games usually blow. Sometimes though you have to let your guard down, for me this is one of those times.

Max Payne on the PC is one of my favorite games ever so I'm naturally interested in a film version of the matrix/noir shooter. Mark Wahlberg is an interesting choice of Payne, i thought Peter Krause would've made a great tortured cop.

Anyway heres the new trailer, here comes Maxxy Max.
